Neru, which hit the screens in December 2023, has now crossed the Rs 65-crore mark at the Kerala box office. The courtroom drama has now emerged as Mohanlal’s 3rd all-time highest grosser.
Neru, the courtroom drama that hit the screens in December 2023, has now emerged as one of the biggest successes of last year. Mohanlal played the role of advocate Vijayamohan, a senior lawyer in the movie, which marked his fifth onscreen collaboration with hitmaker Jeethu Joseph. As it completes the first 11 days of its release, Neru has crossed the Rs 65-crore mark at the worldwide box office and has broken the 10-year-old record of Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph’s blockbuster film, Drishyam.
Neru breaks the record of Drishyam
The courtroom drama, which has emerged as a massive critical and commercial success, has now crossed the lifetime collections of Drishyam. Neru has made a total collection of over Rs 65 crore at the worldwide box office, within the first 11 days of its release. Thus, the Jeethu Joseph directorial has now also emerged as the third all-time highest grosser in the career of its leading man Mohanlal, after Pulimurugan and Lucifer. It is clearly a major achievement for the Jeethu Joseph directorial, which was made with a moderate budget and was released without a massive pre-release hype.
