The film has an ensemble cast including Ram Kapoor, Rahul Bose, Neeraj Kabi, Amrita Puri, Shahana Goswami, Niki Walia, Dipannita Sharma, Shashank Arora, Prajakta Koli, and Danesh Razvi.
The Neeyat production team is clearly on a roll. The murder mystery thriller starring Vidya Balan unveiled its theatrical trailer today, following yesterday's teaser, which introduced eleven characters.
The captivating trailer immerses viewers in the glittering world of millionaire Ashish Kapoor and his intimate circle of family and friends, all of whom are entangled in their web of secrets while living in the breathtakingly gorgeous highlands of Scotland. In this classic whodunit, Detective Mira Rao is tasked with solving the murder of Ashish Kapoor at his party.
This murder mystery will keep viewers on the edge of their seats, and Vidya will seem exceptionally new and exciting in her role. Ram Kapoor, Rahul Bose, Neeraj Kabi, Amrita Puri, Shahana Goswami, Niki Walia, Dipannita Sharma, Shashank Arora, Prajakta Koli, Danesh Razvi, Ishika Mehra, and Madhav Deval are just a few of the talented actors featured in the film. This film is one to keep an eye out for because of its novel genre and outstanding ensemble cast.
In a statement, Vidya gushed about her comeback to the big screen in Neeyat saying that what she enjoys most about being an actor is the opportunity to live the life of a different person with every character she plays. She had a lot of fun with Neeyat since Detective Mira Rao is not a typical detective. Not only did she get to immerse herself in a weird and odd role, but the actor also got to work alongside an impressive group of fellow performers. This is Vidya's second feature with Anu after Shakuntala Devi and her fourth with Vikram, Abundantia Entertainment, and Prime Video; working with all of them has been a dream come true. Finally, she is quite excited to see Neeyat in theatres again and looks forward to hearing what people think.
Anu, who directed Vidya in Shakuntala Devi is in charge of Neeyat. She has directed several episodes of the critically acclaimed BBC series Killing Eve in recent years. Anu, Priya Venkataraman, Advaita Kala, and Girvani Dhyani wrote the script for Neeyat, and Kausar Munir was responsible for the dialogue. The movie's producers were Prime Video and Abundantia Entertainment, under the direction of Vikram Malhotra, who also produced Shakuntala Devi, Sherni and Jalsa.
Anu said of her film that Neeyat is very special to all of them. It's a first for her to work on a classic murder mystery in a foreign country with such a large cast, and it's also a genre that's only found in India. It was exciting and hard to work with Vidya and this ensemble cast, but it was also a lot of fun. The film is promoted as an enjoyable and exciting journey. The filmmaker can't wait for them to see this year's best murder mystery in theatres.
On July 7, Neeyat will be shown in theatres all around the world.
