Jugjugg Jeeyo is produced by Viacom18 Studios, Dharma production and is directed by Raj Mehta.
The actress Neetu Kapoor has responded to paparazzo Viral Bhayani's unhappiness about the absence of a wedding reception for newlyweds Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. In an interview with India today, Neetu explained why there was no reception.
According to the actress, she does not want anyone to feel sad. Since this wedding happened so suddenly, she didn't have time to plan a lavish ceremony and invite everyone. "I don’t like it when anyone is upset. I will host a special reception only for him and have him on stage also, but I don’t want him to be unhappy. This was just a quick wedding and hence we couldn’t do much. If it was left to me, I would have done it with grandeur and called everyone", the actress stated.
Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu's son, married his longtime girlfriend Alia Bhatt on April 14th in a private wedding attended only by family and friends.
The actress then addressed her next film Jugjugg Jeeyo. According to the actor, she hasn't ever worked anything like this before, and it is an absolutely unique concept for her. She's also thrilled about this venture, which will be released next month. Speaking about her own experience, "It is like starting again, a new beginning. I have not done this in such a long time, so I am enjoying myself. My movie is releasing next month, which I am very excited about. I hope people like me and I am good enough. I am feeling the jitters.”
Jugjugg Jeeyo will commemorate Neetu's return to the Bollywood industry. She was previously featured in the 2013 film Besharam, with her late husband Rishi Kapoor and son Ranbir.
Anil Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Kiara Advani will play the key roles in Jugjugg Jeeyo. The film will be released in theatres on June 24.
