Neetu Kapoor is back on screens after a hiatus and she is at a happy place right now. But it did not seem to have gone down well with many people. Netizens have trolled her for doing what makes her happy after the demise of her husband and actor Rishi Kapoor.

In a recent conversation, Neetu Kapoor opened up about how she was trolled as people were expecting her to be a “crying widow” after Rishi Kapoor’s death two years ago. Neetu Kapoor was speaking to Film Companion when she was talking about social media and how it has impacted her life. She also shared her way of handling trolls. She said, "I block the ones who troll me because you know thode hote hai beech mein ke ‘husband marr gaya, ye enjoy kar rahi hai." She added that some sections of people want to see her behave like a 'crying widow' and she just blocks them. She further said that different people have different ways to deal with grief and heal after losing a loved one. And her way of healing is by being happy and doing things that make her happy.

She said this is the way she wants to be and wants to heal. "Koi log ro ro ke heal karte hai, koi log khush ho ke heal karte hai. I can never forget my husband. He will be here (in my heart), with me, with my children, all our lives,” she said adding that the family is healing by celebrating the actor every day.

She recalled how the family spends half of their time talking about him and sharing how much they miss him when they meet for a meal. She shared Ranbir Kapoor still has a picture of his father Rishi Kapoor as his screensaver on his phone. "That’s the way we miss him but we don’t have to be sad to miss him. We can celebrate him, we can remember him for good times and what a great person he was,” she said.

Neetu Kapoor said she is glad that she is working again as she was focussing on family all the while until then. She revealed that she did films like Do Dooni Chaar and Besharam on her husband Rishi Kapoor's insistence and she never expected to be back on screens. It was her children and filmmaker Karan Johar who encouraged her to make comeback. Neetu Kapoor is currently judging the dance reality show, Dance Deewane Juniors. She will also be seen in Jug Jugg Jeeyo, where she shares the screen with Anil Kapoor, Kiara Advani and Varun Dhawan. Directed by Raj Mehta and produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta, it is a comedy-drama film and is expected to release on June 24.
