Neetu Chandra made her Hindi movie debut back in 2005, playing Sweety, one of the air hostesses in Priyadarshan’s comedy Garam Masala. However, her career did not turn out as planned, with the actor having not appeared in a single movie since 2020.
Neetu has now opened up about her journey as an actor and also revealed how she contemplated suicide as well as how a rich businessman made her a rather strange offer.
Talking in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Neetu said that her story is a failure story of a successful actor and despite having worked with 13 National Film Award winners, she has no job today. She also compared herself with the late Sushant Singh Rajput, who took his life a few years ago, asking the question as to why actors receive recognition after their death.
The actor also revealed a strange incident, where a rich businessman offered her Rs. 25 lakh per month to marry him, so that she could be a ‘salaried wife’. She also recalled how a famous casting director once invited her for an audition, just so they could reject her.
Neetu has also appeared in movies such as Traffic Signal, Godavari, Yavarum Nalam, Rann, Apartment, No Problem and Manam. The actor also appeared in a Greek movie titled Block 12, which she dubbed herself by learning the language. She was last seen in the Hollywood martial arts movie Never Back Down: Revolt, which is part of the Never Back Down film franchise.
