Helmed by Rajesh K Raman, the film is about a widow who wants to fulfil her sexual needs without getting married again. It delves into women's issues. Neeraja, which released in theatres on June 2,  will be available to stream on OTT this month.

What is Neeraja about?

Neeraja is a widow whose husband died in an accident. She had married her husband without the consent of their families. Neeraja lives a desolate life after her husband's death, living in the memories of her spouse.

Two years after her husband's demise, Neeraja consults with a psychologist. Her parents want her to get married again. Neeraja wants to stay faithful to her dead husband but also wants her sexual needs met. She meets Anil, a man who is unhappy in his married life, and they forge a friendship. What happens next forms the crux of the story.

Neeraja's cast and crew

Shruti Ramachandran, known for films like Madhuram and Kaanekkaane, plays the titular character of Neeraja. Govind Padmasoorya plays her husband, and their on-screen chemistry is one of the highlights of the film. Jinu Joseph, Guru Somasundaram, Srindaa, Abhija Sivakala, and Santhosh Keezhattoor are also part of the cast.

When and where to watch Neeraja?

Neeraja will be available to stream on HR OTT starting August 28, 2023.
