Shruti Haasan plays the female lead in the actioner that also stars Duniya Vijay, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Chandrika Ravi
In less than a year's time after the stupendous success of Akhanda, Balakrishna will have another release, tentatively slotted for Dasara. Of course, we're talking about #NBK107, his next with Krack, Bodyguard director Gopichandh Malineni. Shruti Haasan is teaming up with the veteran for the first time in her career while Kannada star Duniya Vijay makes his Telugu debut as an antagonist. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar will also appear in a key role in the film which will have a special number by Australian actress, model Chandrika Ravi.
The leading Telugu banner Mythri Movie Makers is backing the much-anticipated project that went on floors last year. While the team released a special poster of Balakrishna commemorating his father and acting legend NTR's 100th birth anniversary, now one has to await Balakrishna's birthday for another update from the film. Yes, you heard it right! The makers announced today that '#NBK107 first hunt' will be out on the star's birthday - one wonders if it'll be a video glimpse or a poster? It's likely that the 'first hunt' will be the former.
While there were rumours that #NBK107 was a remake of a Shiv Rajkumar-starrer Kannada film, the makers denied the claims and said that #NBK107 was a new script altogether. Being the follow-up film for Akhanda, there will be a lot of expectations riding on the film and Gopichandh must be doubly cautious about getting his act right. He has the right resources by his side - it's upto him to make maximal use of it.
Rishi Punjabli cranks the camera for the film while Sai Madhav Burra is the dialogue writer. Navin Nooli is on board as the editor with AS Prakash handling production design. Ram-Lakshman duo choreograph the action sequences. Composer S Thaman continues his association with Balakrishna after Akhanda too. Chandu Ravipati is the executive producer.
