Malayalam star Nazriya Nazim Fahadh is reportedly all set for her OTT debut with a web series, according to our sources
Post her wedding, Malayalam star Nazriya Nazim Fahadh has been extremely selective when it comes to choosing her projects. But given her work post-marriage that includes Anjali Menon’s Koode, Anwar Rasheed’s Trance and Vivek Athreya’s Ante Sundaraniki, one can be assured that whenever she does take up a project, her performance is sure to leave the audience enthralled.
While Nazriya is next set to appear in Soorarai Pottru director Sudha Kongara’s #Suriya43 starring Suriya, Dulquer Salmaan and Vijay Varma, OTTplay has also exclusively learnt that the actress is gearing up for her OTT debut.
“Nazriya is in final discussions for a web series, in which she will be seen as a lawyer. The series is inspired by true events,” says a source, on condition of anonymity. The source, however, did not reveal the team behind the series or the OTT platform, but we believe it's Netflix.
The OTT platform is yet to venture into Malayalam though it has had several discussions with leading filmmakers including Mahesh Narayanan and Anil Radhakrishnan Menon. The latter is reportedly in talks to helm a web series, which he will also be scripting and co-producing. Netflix, most recently, had released the true-crime documentary Curry & Cyanide: The Jolly Joseph Case, which is helmed by Christo Tomy. This was their first original venture in Malayalam.

Meanwhile, Nazriya is expected to begin shooting for Sudha’s Tamil film later this month. The team is expected to have a pooja function after Pongal, with schedules planned in Tiruchirappali and Chidambaram. Composer GV Prakash has already started work on the music of the film, which will have Suriya apparently playing a college student.

The movie will also have Dulquer and Nazriya sharing screen space for the first time since they played cousins in Bangalore Days, which is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
