Iratta, which has Joju George in the lead role, is directed by Rohit MG Krishnan
From Charlie to Nayattu, the collaborations of Joju George and Martin Prakkat have never disappointed the audience. The duo’s latest project together titled Iratta is all set to hit theatres in 2023, the team has announced.
Martin and Joju will be working as producers in the film, which is scripted by debutant Rohit MG Krishnan, who had earlier helmed short films. The movie has Joju essaying the lead role. Anjali, Srinda, Arya Salim, Srikanth Murali, Sabumon Abdusamad and Abhiram are also part of the cast of the film, which had completed shooting earlier this year.
The film has Vijay, who had assisted Samir Thahir, Shyju Khalid and Gireesh Gangadharan, as its cinematographer, while Jakes Bejoy handles the music department. The movie is touted to be another police story that Joju and Martin are teaming up after the much-acclaimed Nayattu, which is streaming on Netflix.
In an earlier interview with us, Joju had said that their friendship and professional equation remain separate. The actor had said that though Martin had a played a huge role in how his career has shaped up, there were movies that he didn’t offer him roles as the director didn’t think he was apt for them.
This year, Joju was seen in Jeo Baby’s Freedom Fight anthology, Sanfeer K’s Peace, Kamal KM’s Pada, Lal Jose’s Solomante Theneechakal, Zak Harriss’ Adrishyam and Shanil Muhammed’s Aviyal. He has also completed shooting for Thuramukham, which is expected to hit theatres next year, as well as Pulimada, which has Aishwarya Rajesh and Lijomol Jose as part of its cast. The actor plays a high-range farmer in the movie, which is scripted and directed by AK Sajan.
Joju is also part of Dileep’s Voice of Sathyanathan, which is set to release next year. The Raffi directorial also has Anupam Kher, Veena Nandakumar and Johny Antony as part of its cast.
