Good Luck Jerry starring Janhvi Kapoor is the Hindi remake of the Tamil movie Kolamaavu Kokila starring Nayanthara.
Janhvi Kapoor is getting ready for the release of her upcoming movie Good Luck Jerry, which is the official Hindi remake of the Tamil movie Kolamaavu Kokila. Nayanthara, who starred in the Tamil movie, has now wished Janvhi ahead of the movie’s release.
As reported by Pinkvilla, Nayanthara said, “Kokila is so close to my heart and watching the GoodLuck Jerry trailer brings me so much joy, what an entertaining ride the audience is in for, there couldn’t have been a better Jerry! GoodLuck Jahnvi!."
Kolaamavu Kokila, which is also known as COCO among fans, hit theatres in 2018. Marking the directorial debut of Nelson, the black comedy follows a woman who finds herself working for the drug ring following problems at home. The movie received positive reviews following its release.
As Janhvi gets ready to star in the Hindi remake of the movie, she recently talked about comparisons with Nayanthara in a recent interview. She said that she has been facing comparisons from the start of her career, including comparisons with her mother, the late actor Sridevi.
In another interview, Janhvi also pointed out that she hopes to break fans’ mental image of her being innocent, quiet and helpless, because of the movies that she has done so far.
Backed by Aanand L. Rai’s Colour Yellow Productions, Good Luck Jerry is directed by Sidharth Sengupta. The movie will directly hit streaming and is set to release of Disney+ Hotstar on July 29.
Apart from Good Luck Jerry, Janhvi Kapoor has Mr And Mrs Mahi co-starring Rajkummar Rao and Bawaal co-starring Varun Dhawan in the works. The actor will also be seen in Mili, which is the remake of the Malayalam movie Helen.
