Nayanthara starts shooting for a family-thriller helmed by debutant Viknesh

Actress Nayanthara has begun shooting for her next movie in Chennai recently. The movie, an untitled project, is directed by G S Viknesh, a former assistant of Mankatha director Venkat Prabhu. The movie is reportedly a family thriller in the making.

Actress Nayanthara has begun shooting for her next movie in Chennai recently. The movie, an untitled project, is directed by G S Viknesh, a former assistant of Mankatha director Venkat Prabhu. The movie is reportedly a family thriller in the making.

Ron Ethan Yohan, who composed music for Maya and Game Over is roped in for music while Tamizh will handle the movie’s cinematography. Selva RK, who has edited films like Karnan and Sarpatta Parambarai in the past, has also joined the crew.

Meanwhile, Netrikann, Nayanthara’s next release, will premiere directly on Disney+Hotstar. The movie is directed by Milind Rau, who previously directed Aval. In addition to Netrikann, Nayanthara also has Annathe (opposite Rajnikanth) and Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal (with Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha) in her kitty.

The film is produced by SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu under Dream Warrior Pictures. Their last venture was the Karthi starrer Sultan, in which he played a man hellbent on reforming his brothers. The film opened to positive reviews and became a hit. Nayanthara has signed a two-film contract with Dream Warrior Pictures.
