Debutant Nilesh Krishnaa has directed Nayanthara’s 75th film, Annapoorani: The Goddess of Food, which stars Jai as the male lead
As Nayathara’s 75th film, Annapoorani: The Goddess of Food, nears its release date, debutant director Nilesh Krishnaa has shared some interesting insights into the comedy drama. The Nayanthara-starrer, which is scheduled to be released in theatres on December 1, stars Jai as the male lead. As fans await the film’s trailer, director Nilesh Krishnaa has spilled the beans on the story of the film and more.
Nayanthara's character aspires to become a chef in Annapoorani
In the first glimpse, audiences got to see Nayanthara reading a book in what seemed to be a conservative household. As the camera zooms in on the book, it becomes evident that she is actually reading a cookbook. The sneak-peek video hinted that Annapoorani centres around Nayanthara's character's love for food and cooking. Now, director Nilesh has confirmed this. In an interview, he said, "Annapoorani is the story of a Brahmin girl who hails from an orthodox family. She wants to become a chef. The film centres around her struggle in the male-dominated culinary world, where she has to cook non-vegetarian dishes as well." The director assured that the film would not hurt the sentiments of any community.
