Nayanthara is Kanmani in Vignesh Shivan's multi-starrer rom-com Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal

The makers of Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal directed by Vignesh Shivan, had unveiled the character posters of Samantha and Vijay Sethupathi earlier today. They will be seen playing Khatija and Rambo respectively in the movie. As promised, they have now released the character poster of Nayanthara as well.

The gorgeous actress is essaying Kanmani in this rom-com which is said to be a triangular love story set in an urban backdrop. Vijay Karthik Kannan and SR Kathir have handled cinematography for the project which has editing by Sreekar Prasad.

Produced by Vignesh Shivan-Nayanthara's Rowdy Pictures and Lalit Kumar's Seven Screen Studio, the movie has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The young musician had teamed up with the director earlier in Naanum Rowdy Dhaan (streaming on Jio Cinema and MX Player) and Thaana Serntha Kootam (streaming on Amazon Prime Video).

Interestingly, the former, too, had Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara in lead roles. Fans of both the actors are excited to see them pairing up again under Vignesh's direction. The last time they were paired opposite each other was in Ajay Gnanamuthu's crime thriller Imaikkaa Nodigal.

Vignesh's last project was Love Panna Uttarnum one of the segments from the anthology Paava Kathaigal (streaming on Netflix) which had a direct-to-OTT release. Along with the character posters, the makers of Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal also announced that the film will have a theatrical release in December.

The team of Dhanush's Maaran and Suriya's Etharkkum Thunindhavan were planning for a release in December, though they are yet to come up with an announcement. Vishal's Veeram Vaagai Soodum had confirmed its arrival on next month much earlier.
