Zee5 has left everyone curious about the mystery around Rautu, a small village in the North Indian state, Uttarakhand. While some decoded that it could be Abhay 4, we can tell you that is not the case. Since Nawazuddin Siddiqui got associated with the project, there was curiosity about what the secret really is. At that point, there was severe doubt if this could be Abhay, since Kunal Kemmu was nowhere associated with the project. We now decode Rautu ka Raaz for you. The film is actually titled Rautu Ki Beli, which went to IFFI Goa and is finally coming to OTT, on Zee5 as well as OTTplay Premium.

The mystery behind Rautu unveiled

Nawazuddin Siddiqui was promoting Rautu Ki Beli half a year ago. The film is now scheduled for a digital release and will be out on Zee5 and OTTplay Premium. The makers are yet to announce the release date of the movie.

The story

Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays the role of Inspector Negi, who investigates the murder of a school warden. This murder takes place in, you guessed it, Rautu.

Nawazuddin’s statement on the movie

Back when the movie screened at IFFI in Goa, Nawazuddin said that Raulu ki Beli has authentic tales which are local but from across the country. At the same press conference, he hinted that with Negi, he tried to live the character to the point that it merged with his own life.

Release delayed

Back in the day, Nawazuddin had confirmed that the movie, directed by Anand Surapur, is releasing on Zee5 (and OTTplay Premium as well). He, however, had shared that it will be out in early 2024. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The film is a murder mystery and will be releasing in mid-2024. It would mostly be out in June, but the makers are yet to make an official announcement on the same.

Nawazuddin’s wish to play Osho

At the very press conference, the actor had said that he wished to play the spiritual guru Osho on-screen. “I would like to play the character of spiritual guru Osho if the opportunity comes,” he was quoted saying.
