Navya Naveli Nanda recently showered appreciation on her cousin Aaradhya Bachchan, daughter of Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan. In an interview with News18 Showsha, Navya spoke about her cousin Aaradhya Bachchan, and said that she admired the 12-year-old girl for her maturity and wisdom.

Talking about Aaradhya, Navya said, "I admire how Aaradhya is mature for her age." Navya also mentioned that she felt Aaradhya was very intelligent and far more aware than Navya used to be around that age. When asked to give some advice to the younger cousin, Navya remarked, " I don’t know if I would give her advice. I feel she’s far wiser than I was when I was 12." As an elder cousin, Navya said she felt proud that the younger generation is growing up to be highly aware of the world and society around them.

During the discussion on gender norms, Jaya Bachchan disclosed that she had considered joining the army but ran into several barriers due to her gender. “I remember a time when I was very disappointed because I wanted to join the army. At the time, they did not admit women, except as nurses,” Jaya had said, emphasising the difficulties faced by females who chose to pursue traditionally male-dominated fields.
