Naslen’s Premalu to release on THIS date; trailer hints at a hilarious romcom

The makers of Girish AD’s Premalu have released the trailer of the film on February 9. The romantic comedy will hit the big screen on February 9.
A fun-filled romantic drama centred on the lives of Sachin, Reenu, and Aadhi in Hyderabad is what the trailer suggests. It also shows a love triangle, with Sachin deeply in love with Reenu who prefer to date her colleague Aadhi, who is referred to as "a mature candidate with an IT profession."
Many expressed their eagerness for a Girish A D movie, particularly in light of his prior films Super Sharanya and Thanneer Mathan Dinangal, which humorously explored contemporary relationship dynamics. A few others have also shared their hopes for the movie.
A glimpse of Mathews' role in this movie can also be seen in the trailer. Since Mathews has always appeared in Naslen's films and vice versa, even a cameo role in this movie was expected of him. Together, the pair has acted in several films, including Journey of Love 18+ and Thanneer Mathan Dinangal.
Cast and crew of Premalu
The posters of the film, which released in December last year showed young stars Naslen and Mamitha Baiju beaming in love. Mohan, Shyam, Althaf Salim, Akhila Bhargavan, Sangeeth Prathap and Meenakshi Raveendran are also part of the supporting cast.
The film has been bankrolled by Dileesh Pothan, Fahadh Faasil, and Syam Pushkaran under the Bhavana Studios’ banner. Thallumaala and Guppy-fame Vishnu Vijay has composed the soundtracks for Premalu, while Suhail Koya has written the lyrics.

Kiran Josey has penned the screenplay for the film, along with the director himself. Bhavana Release will distribute the film in theatres across the state.

The new age romcom will be debuting on big screen along with Tovino Thomas’ highly-anticipated investigative thriller, Anveshippin Kandethum. This month will also see the release of some of the eagerly awaited films of 2024, such as Mammootty’s Bramayugam and Soubin Shahir’s Manjummel Boys.
