Vikram will have a huge release on June 3 in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi,
Kamal and Narain
Narain, who is looking forward to the release of Lokesh Kanagaraj's Vikram, is excited about having shared screen space with Kamal Haasan, who he admires a lot. The young actor has expressed his high regard for the veteran many times in the past. In a recent chat with a television channel, Narain said that he feels blessed to have worked along with the Ulaganayagan.
He said, "Kamal sir has always been my favourite film personality. He has inspired me in different ways for years. It was sheer joy to have worked with him. We would discuss several things and listening to him itself is such a valuable experience."
Narain has worked with Lokesh earlier for Kaithi (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar) which was released in 2019. He said that he was approached for Kaithi when he was planning to relocate to Kochi from Chennai. He recalls a similar instance a few years ago when Mysskin approached him for Mugamoodi.
"I was seriously thinking of relocating to Kochi in 2011, but that's when I got a call from Mysskin to play the antagonist's role in Mugamoodi. I had to learn Kung Fu for the film and I had a great learning experience. Kaithi, too, came to me when I badly needed a break," he recollects.
The actor, who also dubbed for Suriya in the Malayalam version of Soorarai Pottru and Jai Bhim, said that he was initially skeptical of donning the role of a cop in Kaithi as he had essayed such characters before.
It was Karthi who convinced him to take up the role after Lokesh narrated the story to him. Calling the experience of working in Kaithi hectic, Narain added that the pandemic played spoilsport with the release of two of his projects.
