Aashiq Abu, whose recent directorial is the Tovino Thomas-starrer Naradan recently disclosed that he had narrated an idea of a thriller to Shah Rukh Khan.
The filmmaker opened up about meeting with Khan in 2019 to Pinkvilla: "See we just finished a meeting with him [SRK]. We shared an idea. He was happy with it. But, you know it will take some time. Since the pandemic is still going on, his schedules, our schedules, anyway, it's going to take time."

When probed about the genre and the idea, Aashiq said that he cannot speak about the latter, but the film is "some kind of thriller."
The film industry has indeed suffered a setback due to the pandemic, with many ongoing shootings stalled and major film releases delayed.
However, after the fading of the third wave, work has once again resumed, with Khan jetting off to Spain to shoot for Pathaan. The film, directed by Siddharth Anand, also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. Pathaan marks his return to the screen after the 2018 box-office flop Zero.
Besides this actioner, Khan is also reportedly a part of Atlee's film with Nayanthara that's tentatively titled Lion.
