After many days of reluctance and uncertainty prevailing over the release of Nani, Ritu Varma starrer Tuck Jagadish, it's now official that the film will directly land on an OTT platform soon. The producers of Tuck Jagadish, Shine Screens, confirmed the news earlier through a long note where they added that the second wave of COVID-19, the difficulty of safeguarding content in the digital era and several factors beyond their control forced them to take the decision. If all goes well, the film, directed by Shiva Nirvana, will stream on September 10 on the Vinayaka Chavithi festival day.
The makers also added that it took a lot of convincing to get their lead actor Nani understand the situation and that they had no choice but to go ahead with the 'non-theatrical' release. Thanking Nani and director Shiva Nirvana for accepting their request to release the film on OTT, they assured film lovers about their love for the big screens and the innate passion for filmmaking. "Our prime objective now is to give 100% reach to our Tuck Jagadish. We hope everyone will understand and cooperate with us," they shared.
Tuck Jagadish is a quintessential family entertainer, a story of two brothers played by Jagapathi Babu and Nani. Aishwarya Rajesh essays the role of Nani's on-screen sister in the film. S Thaman has scored the music for the same. The film's supporting cast includes Rao Ramesh, Rohini, Bindu, Devadarshini, Nasser, Naresh and Kancharapalem Kishore. Tuck Jagadish was to release in theatres on April 23 this year before the second wave of COVID-19 disrupted the makers' plans. Nani will next be seen in the multi-generational romance Shyam Singha Roy alongside Sai Pallavi and Krithi Shetty shortly.
