Hi Nanna, starring Nani and Mrunal Thakur, hit the theatres on December 7
‘Natural Star’ Nani’s latest film Hi Nanna, which also stars Mrunal Thakur, has been garnering a lot of appreciation from the audience and critics alike. Helmed by debutant director Shouryuv, the romantic drama film has been performing remarkably well in domestic as well as worldwide box office - minting ₹40 crores in just four days. Fans have particularly appreciated Hi Nanna’s emotional scenes and the onscreen chemistry between Nani and Mrunal. Also featuring Kiara Khanna, Priyadarshi Pulikonda, Angad Bedi and Viraj Ashwin, Jayaram and Shruti Haasan, the movie is produced under the banner of Vyra Entertainments.
Hi Nanna collects ₹40 crore at the box office in just 4 days
After its stellar opening-day performance at the box office, the family entertainer gained momentum over its first weekend. The film collected ₹40 crore, with more than 61.79 Telugu occupancy rate, on December 10.
In the US, the movie crossed the $1 million mark, and is Nani’s ninth movie overall to achieve that milestone. The film is expected to continue its dominance at the box office. According to trade analysts, Hi Nanna is set to witness more growth in the coming days.
Hesham Abdul Wahab is impressed by Nani’s performance in Hi Nanna
In a recent interview, composer Hesham Abdul Wahab spoke about his excitement over his latest project, Hi Nanna. Meanwhile, he also noted that Telugu audiences welcome all kinds of films. “Telugu audiences have celebrated all kinds of films. They encouraged debut directors as well. I am excited about the audience’s reaction to Hi Nanna. Nani sir’s performance in the film will have a lasting impact,” Hesham added.

Nani plays a single father in the film, who falls in love with Mrunal’s character. While their love blooms from friendship, an element of betrayal surfaces. What happens next forms the crux of the story. The pan-Indian project’s talented crew includes cinematographer Sanu John Varughese, editor Praveen Anthony and production designer Avinash Kolla.
