Over a tweet, the Hi Nanna star expressed his interest to collaborate with Venu

He not only respects their scripts, creative choices, but also handholds them during the making, while not interfering with their style. He’s generally the first actor from the fraternity to praise any quality film after release and has earned the respect of viewers and industry insiders for his gestures.

In response to a follower’s question - ‘Who is an upcoming director you want to work with?’ - Nani surprised many when he talked of his interest in collaborating with Balagam filmmaker Venu Yeldandi. While interacting with the media today, the actor stated that he was astonished to know that Venu, someone he has known for many years, was so skilled with his storytelling capabilities.
“How can we ignore such a talent? He has been in the industry for a long time and I was surprised that he had such depth in his writing and a moving story to tell. Producer Dil Raju has told me Venu is preparing a script for me and I can’t wait to listen to it. As of now, we have not committed to any project,” the ‘Natural star’ shared. The surprise hit Balagam can be streamed on Amazon Prime Video.
For the unversed, Balagam is a funeral drama tells the story of a family coming to terms with the death of a patriarch, focusing on rituals, traditions specific to Telangana. Priyadarshi, Kavya Kalyanram, Muralidhar Goud, Sudhakar Reddy, Roopa Laxmi essayed crucial roles in the film produced under Dil Raju Productions. The drama had a long theatrical run for over 50 days, growing bigger every week.
Balagam’s lead actor Priyadarshi too plays a key role in Nani’s latest release Hi Nanna. A premiere of the film will be held at AMB Cinemas, Hyderabad later today for select celebrities and media.
