Nandita Swetha, who made a name for herself in Telugu cinema with Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada, has given her nod for a cyber crime thriller titled OTP. The film was formally launched at Rock Castle, Hyderabad today on a grand note. Ram Mittakanti plays the male lead in the film whose cast also includes Surya Tej, Sonakshi Varma, DJ Tillu fame Laddu and Sadan. Kalyan Kumar helms the film bankrolled by N Guru Prasad Reddy under JR Pictures in association with Mithuna Entertainments.
Actor,comedian Ali, former Indian Idol winner Sreerama Chandra were the guests for the launch ceremony, with the latter sounding the clapboard. The producer's daughter Jeevanshi Reddy had switched on the camera. At the press meet post the film launch, actress Nandita Swetha thanked Ali and Sreerama Chandra for gracing the event. "I liked Kalyan Kumar's story instantly and thought it was very unique and different. We're confident about entertaining you," she said.
"The cyber crime thriller is full of thrills and excitement. The film will be shot in the vicinity of Hyderabad across three schedules and we plan to release the film for Shivaratri across five languages - Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada - next year," the director Kalyan Kumar stated. The producer said that the biggest strength of OTP is its story and expressed confidence about its box-office prospects. The male lead mentioned that the emotions in OTP will keep the viewers engrossed.
Surya Tej and Sadan expressed their happiness about being a part of OTP and hoped for the film to strike a chord with audiences. Bhaskar Samala is the cinematographer of the film while Harsha Praveen is the music director. Gopal Naidu is the editor. Nandita Swetha's recent Telugu films include Kapatadhaari and Akshara. Some of her other popular films here are Srinivasa Kalyanam, Prema Katha Chitram 2 and Abhinetri 2.
