A video of Telugu actor Nandamuri Balakrishna, who is famously known as Balayya, pushing actor Anjali on the stage during the pre-release event of Gangs of Godavari, went viral, with many calling out the senior actor for his behaviour. While this stirred up a conversation on social media, Anjali broke her silence on the issue and put out a post through her X handle. Read further to know what Anjali had to say.
Anjali is starring in the film Telugu film Gangs of Godavari, which released in theatres today (May 31). The film also stars Vishwak Sen and Neha Sshetty in the lead roles and the makers had conducted a pre-release event of the film. It was graced by veteran actor Nandamuri Balakrishna.

While all seem to go well, a video went viral on social media showing Balayya sharing stage with Anjali and Neha. As he asks Anjali to move a bit and as she is doing, he aggressively pushes her, which evoked involuntary shock reactions from both the female actors. However, Anjali soon bursts into a laughter along with Neha and other male members. This has stirred a conversation on social media with many calling out Balayya for his behaviour.
In the latest, Anjali has chosen to share her views on the incident and penned a post on social media. Sharing a video with moments with Balayya, Anjali wrote, “I want to thank Balakrishna Garu for gracing the Gangs of Godavari pre-release event with his presence. I would like to express that Balakrishna garu and I have always maintained mutual respect for each other and We share a great friendship from a long time. It was wonderful to share the stage with him again.”
Headlined by actor Vishwak Sen, Gangs of Godavari is directed by filmmaker Krishna Chaitanya for a hard-hitting drama. The actor plays the role of a fisherman who gets involved in the local politics of his village. The music is scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
