Nana Patekar graced the Amitabh Bachchan-hosted show Kaun Banega Crorepati 16. The veteran actor promoted his upcoming film Vanvaas with co-stars Utkarsh Sharma and Simrat Kaur and director Anil Sharma. This special episode was recently shot, however, it will air on Friday (December 13). An interesting snippet from Nana's KBC 16 episode has surfaced online. On the show, the senior actor shared the BTS story about his famous 'aaloo lelo' scene from Anees Bazmee's Welcome.

During his appearance on Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 a fan asked Nana Patekar whether he knew that his Welcome scene would become a 'cult moment'.

Reacting to this, the veteran actor shared, "I was ready to go after Anees! I was thinking, 'What nonsense is this? Just because we’ve signed the film, does that mean you can make us do anything you want?' But then Anees showed me how to do it— ‘Aaloo lelo... kaanda lelo…’ He said, 'Sir, just do it, it’ll look good on you.' I told him, 'It feels weird, you show me first!' He did it, and I just followed along. And guess what? It worked! So, all the credit for that iconic moment goes to Anees."

Apart from talking about his iconic scene, Patekar confirmed that he has joined Housefull 5. The senior shared this news with host and legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan. "Just yesterday, I met Abhishek and said, 'I just finished shooting with you, and tomorrow, I’ll be shooting with your father!'," revealed Nana.

Talking about Nana's upcoming film, the Anil Sharma directorial is scheduled to be released on December 20, 2024. As for Welcome, the Anees Bazmee film was released in 2006.
