Looks like all is not well for Nana Patekar! The 72-year-old actor, who recently featured in The Vaccine War, has allegedly slapped a minor boy on the set of a film. This development has sparked outrage on the internet, many of whom are urging police officials to take quick action. In response to this furore, the actor has issued a statement and apologized for his inappropriate conduct.
Nana Patekar feels sorry for slapping a boy
In a video message released by Nana Patekar, the actor can be heard apologizing for his unpardonable conduct. He also clarified that he had no intention to hit the boy who was in need of a selfie.
Nana Patekar said, “A video is going viral where I have hit a boy. Though this sequence is a part of our film, we had one rehearsal...We were scheduled to have a second rehearsal. The director told me to begin. We were about to begin when the boy in the video came in. I didn't know who he was, I thought he was one of our crew so I slapped him as per the scene and I told him to leave. Later, I came to know that he was not a part of the crew. So, I was going to call him back, but he ran away.”
“Maybe his friend shot the video. I have never said no to anybody for a photo. I don't do this...This happened by mistake...If there is some misunderstanding, please forgive me...I will never do anything like this..." added Nana Patekar with an emotional look on his face.

Nana’s viral video was shot in the city of Kashi, Uttar Pradesh. In the video, Nana can be seen slapping a minor with great force who wished for a selfie. Later, Nana’s security guards took the boy away from his presence. The date of this incident is not known yet.
