Nakul's Vasco Da Gama announced as a theatrical release on Deepavali

It was announced last year that Nakul's next project with director RG Krishnan has been titled Vasco Da Gama. Its first look was unveiled by several celebs from Kollywood. Billed as an adventure comedy, the filmmaker had earlier explained why he came up with a unique title for the movie.

According to him, Nakul will be seen as someone who is always right; he can do no wrong. His initial idea was to name the film as Good Boy. Shot in and around Chennai, its shooting was completed in three schedules. Vasco da Gama has been produced by Dato Subhaskharan under the banner 5656 Productions.

The team has now announced that the film will hit the screens for Deepavali. It's quite rare in Kollywood that a film's release is announced much before the planned release date. This is also the first movie to have officially announced arrival for Deepavali 2022.

it is heard that Ajith's upcoming movie to be directed by Vinoth will also be a Deepavali release. The project, produced by Boney Kapoor, is expected to go on floors in March. It has to be seen if the makers of Vasco Da Gama will stick to their plans.

An elated Nakul took to Twitter to share the announcement news. He posted, "Bringing you the colourful and vibrant look of #vascodagamathemovie with official announcement as #Diwali2022 release. #happyvalentinesday (sic)." He also posted a new poster of the movie which hints at the actor playing dual roles in it.

Sunainaa plays the female lead in the project which has cinematography by Vanchinathan Murugesan and music composed by Arun NV. Tamizh Kumaran handles editing for the movie which has art direction helmed by Ezhumalai Adikesavan and dance choreography by Sandy.
