Daali Dhananjaya's new home production Tagaru Palya will no longer be a Kannada Rajyotsava release but instead will arrive a few days earlier in theatres. The actor himself took to social media a short while ago to share and confirm the release date, adding that the film will now hit the big screen on October 27. The reasons for the change in plans are yet to be disclosed by the team.

Tagaru Palya is written and directed by debutant Umesh K. Krupa and stars Nagabhushana, Amrutha Prem (debut), Rangayana Raghu, Tara, Sharath Lohithashwa and others. The film, by the looks of it, brims with rootedness and authenticity and Dhananjaya himself has said in the past that the title refers to a special, idiosyncratic culinary tradition that takes place in small-town Karnataka.

Director Umesh K. Krupa, too, has revealed in his previous interviews that his film is firmly centred around life, tradition and culture and that it explores a very realistic and "raw" subject matter. And the same rustic nature of the film is evidently captured by Vasuki Vaibhav's music as the composer returns to collaborate with Dhananjaya & Co. after having previously worked with them on the 2021 film Badava Rascal. SK Rao is the cinematographer of Tagaru Palya.

On the other hand, one would be aware of the fact that Tagaru Palya's leading man Nagabhushana recently found himself entangled in a fatal accident case. On the night of September 30, Saturday, the actor was driving a car which rammed into a pedestrian couple, tragically resulting in one of the two victims succumbing to their injuries. The actor was arrested the same night but was granted station bail soon after. The alcometer and drug tests conducted by the police showed negative readings with Nagabhushana revealing that having caught the couple walking on the road, he would panic and end up accelerating instead of applying brakes.
