Naga Chaitanya recalls first date with Sobhita Dhulipala; reveals exciting details about their first trip together

Actors Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala got married earlier this month in Hyderabad.

Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala tied the knot in Hyderabad on December 4 at Annapurna Studios. After keeping their relationship a secret for a long time, the duo made their relationship Instagram official when they got engaged in August. While very little about their love story is known, the couple recently opened up about their first date and their first trip together in an interview with The New York Times.

The newly married couple, Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala revealed in an interview that they spent most of their relationship in different cities. While the Made In Heaven actress lived in Mumbai, Naga was based in Hyderabad. After chatting for a few days on Instagram, the actor finally decided to fly to Mumbai to meet Sobhita for a lunch date at a famous cafe. This gesture then marked a special moment in their relationship.

“That was the charming part. It was so old school in a way," Sobhita said. “I am not a fan of texting. I am not a fan of communicating on social media," Chaitanya added.

The duo then reunited in April 2022 at an event in Mumbai. The actress said, “I was in a red dress, he was in a blue suit. And the rest is history," recalling that they had attended the slate announcement event for Amazon Prime Video India. Sobhita was present at the event to announce Made In Heaven season 2 while Chaitanya was at the event to announce his first OTT series, Dhootha.

The couple also revealed details about their first trip together mentioning that they visited Bandipur National Park in Karnataka during the summers. They were also joined by Naga Chaitanya's friends for the getaway. They bonded over chess and drawing mehendi on each other’s hands. “He’s a doer, I’m a be-er. I’m the fluttering kite and he’s the anchor. Our dissimilarities really kept us interested and curious about each other," Sobhita said.

Later, in November, Sobhita Dhulipala met Naga Chaitanya and took a trip to London to celebrate latter's birthday. The following year, the actress met Chay's family in Visakhapatnam.
