Missed Tovino Thomas’ Nadikar and Nivin Pauly’s Malayalee From India in theatres? Both of the Malayalam films, which came out in the first week of May, are reportedly getting ready for their digital premieres. Fans of the actors anticipate an OTT release on any popular digital platform in mid-June, even though the makers have not provided any official confirmation regarding the same.

With their impressive casts, Nadikar and Malayalee From India both raised expectations among viewers but fell short of making an impact after their releases. Given their mixed reviews and lacklustre box office performance, it is reasonable to assume that the reason for the OTT release's delay was related to these factors. Meanwhile, other May releases, such as Guruvayoorambala Nadayil and Turbo, which are running successfully in theatres, are also expected to make their digital debut soon.

Nadikar narrated the tale of superstar David Padikkal's ascent to stardom and how his inflated ego hampered his ability to hone the craft. The movie is shaky, but Tovino's performance lifts the second half, according to OTTplay's review. On the other hand, Malayalee from India focused on Aalparambil Gopi, a young, aimless man whose life unintentionally becomes entangled in a contentious matter in his hometown. The movie made it abundantly evident why people should be wary of divisive politics and shouldn't fall for deception.

Other latest Malayalam films to watch on OTT

Pranav Mohanlal and Dhyan Sreenivasan-starrer Varshangalkku Shesham has made it to the digital space today (June 6). The movie is streaming on SonyLIV in five languages.

The makers of Fahadh Faasil’s Aavesham and Unni Mukundan’s Jai Ganesh disclosed their digital platforms earlier in the month. All three of these movies were released on April 11 as part of the Vishu season. Meanwhile, Prithviraj Sukumaran’s survival thriller Aadujeevitham, which hit the big screens in March, is also yet to confirm its OTT release date.
