Sathyasiva has directed the project which was initially titled Common Man
The film's first look
Director Sathyasiva of Kazhugu fame had announced a project with Sasikukmar in the lead a while ago. Titled Common Man, the movie was billed as a crime drama. But the makers came up with an unexpected update on its title a few months later.
They issued a release which stated that the film will henceforth be known as Naan Mirugamai Maara. The film is likely to hit the screens in November. Actor Arya and filmmaker Vishnuvardhan will be unveiling its trailer later today. Hari Priya and Vikranth are others who will be seen essaying key roles in the project.
It is now confirmed that Sun NXT has bagged the film's digital rights. The movie will have its OTT premiere after a month of its theatrical release. An announcement on its theatrical release date is likely to be made soon. Naan Mirugamai Maara revolves around the character of Sasikumar who plays a sound engineer in the film.
How the element of sound plays a significant role in his life, leading to his ambitions becoming topsy-turvy forms the premise of the movie. The revenge-seeking protagonist's acts are fueled by a cold-blooded antagonist who is on a dangerous mission.
The makers had unveiled a promo video from the project a few months ago. It featured Vikranth, who essays the role of Satan in it, hacking a man to death. Naan Mirugamai Maara marks Kannada actress Hari Priya's return to Kollywood.
The movie is her fourth outing in Tamil after Vallakottai, Muran and Vaarayo Vennilaave. Ghibran has composed music for the film which has cinematography by Raja Bhattacharjee and editing by NB Srikanth. TD Rajha and DR Sanjay Kumar have produced the film under the banner of Chendur Film International.
