Naai Sekar Returns: First look of the much-awaited Vadivelu-starrer is out

First look of the film

We had reported earlier that Vadivelu was all set for a comeback to Tamil cinema with Suraaj's Naai Sekar a spin-off to the role with the same name he had played in the director's Thalai Nagaram which released in 2006. However, the makers of a film which has Sathish playing the lead had registered the title earlier. In fact, they came up with its first look recently with the title Naai Sekar on it, which was unveiled by Sivakarthikeyan.

It was heard that, with no option left, the makers of Vadivelu-Suraaj project decided to come up with the title Naai Sekar Returns for their film. Staying true to speculation, they have released the movie's first look now, which has the comedian dressed stylishly in a tuxedo, sporting goggles and sitting on a throne. Five dogs of different breeds are also seen in the first look poster which also has an 'original' emblem attached to it.

Produced by Lyca Productions, the movie has Santhosh Narayanan composing for it. There are unconfirmed reports doing the rounds that the actor might sing for an interesting track in the film. It has to be seen which among the two movies, Naai Sekar and Naai Sekar Returns will hit the screens first. The former was launched first, and looks like it has an edge when it comes to reaching the audience first.

Directed by Kishore Rajkumar and bankrolled by AGS Productions, the film has Cooku With Comali fame Pavithra Lakshmi making her acting debut. Sathish had earlier expressed his dilemma in doing a film with the title Naai Sekar on which Vadivelu and Suraaj had pinned hopes on. In an earlier chat with us, he said, "We are currently in a position where we can't do anything. A dog plays a pivotal role in our film and the protagonist's name is Sekar. At this point, it is difficult for us to consider a new name for our project."
