Naagin: Shraddha Kapoor to begin work on fantasy movie after wrapping her next with Ranbir Kapoor

Shraddha Kapoor is currently working on an unnamed project directed by Luv Ranjan and co-starring Ranbir Kapoor.

Shraddha Kapoor had already announced that she will be taking the lead in Naagin, where she will play a shape shifting snake. The latest reports about the movie suggest that it is all ready to go on floors.

According to a report by Pinkvilla, the movie’s makers will soon start working on the visual effects of the movie from next month. A source close to the development disclosed that it is a big project which is heavy on VFX and that this work will commence from June.

“Other pre-production work including casting for supporting actors and scouting for apt locations has already begun. Shraddha will start shooting for the film after completing her work on Luv Ranjan’s untitled next with Ranbir Kapoor,” the source added.

When the news was first announced, the actor had taken to Twitter to reveal that she was a big fan of Sridevi’s Nagina and Nigahen and had grown up watching it. She also added that she is eager to play the role of a shape shifting snake who could change form at will.

Director Vishal Furia had revealed in a previous interview that Kapoor had kept tabs on the movie’s announcement and that it did not take long for her to come on board. He added that Kapoor was perfect for the role because she could be the girl next door one day and can turn into a very sensuous woman the next day if she wanted.

Shraddha Kapoor is currently working with Pyaar Ka Punchnama director Luv Ranjan in a yet to be titled project. The movie will also see the actor pair up with Ranbir Kapoor for the first time.
