Mysskin and Andrea

Mysskin's Pisasu 2, starring Andrea in the lead, is a project which evoked immense interest among movie buffs ever since it was announced. Its first look and teaser were instantly lapped up by fans of the filmmaker and other cinephiles. A while ago, there was news that the film consists of explicit scenes featuring Andrea.

However, rumours started doing the rounds that Mysskin had decided to remove those sequences as he wanted the movie to be enjoyed by all sections of audience, especially children. In fact, he is said to have reapplied for its censor after the film bagged an A certificate.

But the filmmaker has now issued a clarification saying that he never shot those sequences, but had only clicked a few nude pictures of the actress with the help of a photographer who is a mutual friend to them. Mysskin also added that he deleted those pictures after they decided not to go ahead with those sequences.

The movie was supposed to release on August 31 along with Vikram's Cobra and Pa Ranjith's Natchathiram Nagargiradhu, but makers have now decided to postpone its release owing to reasons best known to them. It is heard that the horror thriller is likely to hit the screens in September.

Vijay Sethupathi, Poorna and Santhosh Pratap among others play pivotal roles in the project which has music by Karthik Raja. T Muruganantham has produced Pisasu 2 under the banner of Rockfort Entertainment. Siva Santhakumar has cranked the camera for the film which has editing jointly handled by Keerthana and Susil Umapathy.

The film is Mysskin's first release in the pandemic era; his last outing Psycho hit the screens a few weeks before COVID-19 shook the world.
