After a long gap, Hansika Motwani is headlining a Telugu thriller titled My Name is Shruthi. The suspense thriller is all set to release on November 17, 2023. Hansika says she is quite nervous and excited to see how the audience will receive this film, which deals with the skin mafia.

Speaking to OTTplay, Hansika says that My Name is Shruthi touches upon the menace of the skin mafia and this is the first time a film with this backdrop has been made in the south. "There are so many turns and twists and I enjoyed doing something quite substantial in the thriller space," says Hansika.

"My mother is a dermatologist, and I asked her about the skin mafia and if it really exists. She told me she had read about it but the common man has been kept in the dark about it. This gave me even more excitement to do the film," adds Hansika

The film is directed by Srinivas Omkar and Hansika says that keeping up with the script was the most challenging aspect. "I am very happy with the output and My Name is Shruthi is a family-friendly thriller that raises relevant questions and can be watched by one and all."

Prema, Murali Sharma, Pooja Ramachandran, Raja Ravindra, Praveen, and Aadukalam Naren play other pivotal roles in the film, which is getting a limited release in Telugu states. Watch this space for more.
