Tetsuo Tosu is a loving father, who falls into the trap of underworld, trying to secure his daughter, Reiki’s safety
In the world of crime thrillers, My Home Hero is a series that stands out with its strong undertones of family drama and emotion. At the center of it all is Tetsuo Tosu, a loving father who will do anything to keep his daughter Reiki safe.
The show starts off with the setting of Reiki and Tetsuo’s relationship and the emotional tension between the two. As the story progresses, Tetsuo comes face to face with Reiki's abusive boyfriend, Nobuto, and his nefarious intentions.
Fueled by anger and desperation, Tetsuo attacks Nobuto, ultimately killing him. This sets the stage for a battle between two fathers who will stop at nothing to protect their children.
The first episode of My Home Hero is a perfect blend of intrigue, emotion, and thrills. The audience is drawn in by Tetsuo's fatherly instincts and the relatable emotions that underlie the series. Viewers are left on the edge of their seats as Tetsuo tries to cover up his actions and keep his daughter safe. It is a nice example of a father’s transformation and the lengths that a common man can go to save the honor of his family.
The “seinen genre” anime series is based on the popular manga of the same name by Naomi Yamakawa and illustrated by Masashi Asaki. The success of the manga has led to its own anime adaptation, which has garnered critical acclaim and even been compared to the legendary series Breaking Bad.
My Home Hero is directed by Takeshi Kamei under Tezuka Productions, with a talented cast of voice actors, including Junichi Suwabe, Keita Tada, and Chihiro Shirata. The opening and ending songs, Ai no Uta and Decided are produced by Chiai Fujikawa and Dizzy Sunfist respectively. Other notable cast members include scriptwriter Kōhei Kiyasu, character design artist Masatsune Noguchi and music composer Kenji Kawai.
The debut episode of the series premiered on April 2 on Crunchyroll, with new episodes set to air every Sunday. My Home Hero promises to be a thought-provoking and emotionally charged series that will keep viewers hooked until the very end.
