The popular romantic comedy, My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 was released in theatres in 2023.
My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 which hit the big screens in 2023, is all set to premiere on OTT. The third instalment in the hit romantic comedy franchise will drop on JioCinema on January 22, 2024. Nia Vardalos directed and wrote the film, starring as the female lead alongside John Corbett, Louis Mandylor, Elena Kampouris, Gia Carides, Joey Fatone, Lainie Kazan, and Andrea Martin.
In the film, a phoney reunion invitation sends the Portokalos family on a perilous trek to Gus's Greek hamlet after a string of tragic family deaths. The Portokalos family restores the almost deserted village. Peter, Gus's undiscovered kid, is one of the surprising disclosures they come across while looking for Gus's buddies. The happy wedding that breathes new life into Vrisi is the culmination of the family's journey through secrets, scholastic difficulties, and blossoming relationships. As they grieve Gus's loss and make new friends, the family finds strength in their shared Greek history and in one another.

Focus Features distributed the picture to theatres in the US on September 8, 2023. It has made $39 million globally, despite critics' mostly negative assessments. Worldwide My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 has made $39.1 million as of October 31, 2023, with $28.5 million coming from the US and Canada and $10.6 million from foreign markets.
My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 grossed $3.7 million on its opening day in North America, with $550,000 coming from previews held on Thursday night. With an opening weekend of $10 million from 3,650 theatres, it came in third place at the box office, behind newcomer The Nun II and returning favourite The Equalizer 3. The film fell to fourth place in its second weekend with $4.7 million, a 53% decline.
My Big Fat Greek Wedding was released in 2002, while the sequel was out in 2016. The third part was released seven years after the second film.
