Adah Sharma, who was in an exclusive conversation with OTTplay, touched upon the aspects of the film’s music amongst other things
She is young, bubbly and loaded with not just beauty, but also with brains and seamless acting talent. She flirts with the camera effortlessly and vice versa. We are indeed talking about the extremely versatile actress Adah Sharma, who is all gearing up for the release of her much-awaited film Bastar The Naxal Story.
Adah Sharma, who was in an exclusive conversation with OTTplay, spoke about the importance of music in the film amongst other aspects.
Adah, what role does music play in the film? Are there songs incorporated in the film or is it just the film’s background music that carries the film forward on its shoulders?
I personally think that for a film like this music is extremely important. Even for The Kerala Story, which was emotion driven, we did not promote the songs. But, our songs ‘Paagal Parindey’ and others did really well. It kept on trending for a full six months! Isn’t that cool! I am hoping and also super sure that history will repeat itself even in the case of Bastar The Naxal Story.
Since the film is about the 76 CRPF jawans who were martyred, has the film been shown to the relatives of these jawans?
We are done with the first screening of the film. And the response to the first screening has been really encouraging.
Can you cite three reasons for the audience to watch Bastar The Naxal Story?
Not three, I think just one reason is enough. And that reason is love for your country and to know what’s happening in your country! It’s a film that everyone would like to watch.
What’s next after Bastar The Naxal Story?
The recent few months have been damn crazy for me. First, I had Commando, then, I had Sunflower 2, The Kerala Story OTT release and now this! After all this, my first priority is to clean up my cupboard! (laughs heartily!) My mother has threatened to throw me out of the house if I did not clean the cupboard.

Did you just say cupboard?
Yeah! (laughs) At least for my mother’s sake, I need to clean the cupboard. That apart, on a professional front, there is something happening on a Hindi film as well. I don’t want to talk about it till the time the makers announce it officially! This is exactly what I did when I did The Kerala Story. Many thought that I had gone to Ladakh to shoot something, whereas, I was busy shooting for The Kerala Story (smiles).
