Kay Kay Menon has proved once again that he can nail any character, thanks to his recently released show - Murshid. The show promises a gripping tale of suspense and drama along with some brilliant performances. The gangster drama was released on ZEE5 on August 30 and is still the talk of the town for all the right reasons. The thriller series received a lot of love from fans. Days after the release of the show, the streaming platform shared a new promo featuring Menon and Tanuj.

Taking to their social media account, ZEE5 shared a promo of Murshid. In the clip, we can see Kay Kay Menon handing over the gun to Tanuj Virwani who plays his adopted son and saying, “Le beta, maar de mujhe. Dikhta hai, jab bojh dil mein lekar ghumta hai tu toh dikhta hai, teri ye berukhi dekhi nahi jaati. Agar mere khoon hai tera yeh gham dhulta hai toh dho de beta, maar de ise.” To which Tanuj replies, "Nahi abbu, mere dil mein koi bojh nahi hai"

The makers shared the video with the caption: "Will Kumar Pratap abandon his Abbu during this difficult period, or will their bond prove unbreakable? #Murshid streaming only on #ZEE5"

For the uninitiated, Kay Kay plays the character of a mafia don in Shravan Tiwari's directorial. Tanuj Virwani plays Kay Kay's adopted son in the show and also revealed in an interview that he was the major reason he gave a nod for the show.

Produced by Sachin Bansal and Sandip Patel, Murshid started streaming on ZEE5 on August 30. The gangster drama is set against the backdrop of Mumbai. Apart from Kay Kay Menon and Tanuj Virwani, the series also stars Zakir Hussain in an important role. It is also available for viewing with your OTTplay Premium subscription.
