Kay Kay Menon is gearing up for the release of his upcoming web series, Murshid. The actor, last seen in Shekhar Home, plays the titular role in the Shravan Tiwari directorial. Kay Kay Menon plays a mafia don Murshid Pathan in the web series, which will soon stream on ZEE5. The latest promo of the series is an introduction to Kay Kay's character in the series. It highlights the fact that he is retired from the underworld but makes a comeback as his family is in danger.
The streaming platform dropped a new promo of Murshid featuring its lead actor Kay Kay Menon. The promo sheds light on Kay Kay's character Murshid Pathan being a dangerous mafia don. A voiceover in the promo further suggests that nobody knows Murshid after his retirement.
It is followed by Kay Kay aka Murshid stating he wouldn't keep quiet if his son is being killed in front of him. "Mitta ke rakh dunga main (I will destroy everything)," says Murshid. Sharing this promo on Instagram, ZEE5 mentioned, "Murshid Pathan - itihaas ka nahi, darr ka naam hai! Murshid premieres 30th August, only on ZEE5 (sic)."
In an official statement, Kay Kay Menon shared his experience of playing Murshid Pathan's role in Shravan Tiwari's series Murshid. He said, "Playing Murshid Pathan in this intense gangster thriller was truly exciting for me. I've always been drawn to complex characters, and Murshid is exactly that - a former don turned philanthropist, pulled back into the underworld to protect his family. The trailer just scratches the surface of his journey."
Apart from Kay Kay, the star cast of Murshid includes Tanuj Virwani Zakir Hussain, Anang Desai, Karamveer Choudhary, Vedika Bhandari, and Rajesh Shringarpure.
