Karisma Kapoor stars in Murder Mubarak
Homi Adajania's upcoming murder mystery film, Murder Mubarak, released an enchanting trailer on Tuesday. Starring a formidable cast of Bollywood’s finest actors: Karisma Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, Pankaj Tripathi, Vijay Varma, Sara Ali Khan, and others, an interactive trailer launch event for Murder Mubarak in Mumbai. During the conversation with the media, the cast and crew shared their thoughts and insights about their roles. Karisma also gave some intriguing details about her character while sharing why OTT is better than theatres.
When reporters asked Karisma if the digital space was rewarding, she drew a stark comparison between OTT and theatres by saying that the digital space is more realistic and farsighted. “On OTT, things are much more realistic and much more prepared. Not that they aren’t in films, but on OTT, you have many more readings and much more time is given,” Karisma said.
Karisma is gearing up to serve audiences with another fascinating character after her 2020 OTT debut with Mentalhood. This time, she plays an actress in Murder Mubarak, who is among the key suspects in a murder. During the trailer launch, Karisma shared that her character is one of the most interesting things in the film.
“She is an actress, a dream girl. She’s very real. She’s very quirky and eccentric, but real. She’s very human, and that’s what I found really intriguing and different, because that was Homi’s main thing—that she may be a bit over the top, but she has her way. So, I really like that aspect,” Karisma shared. She also hoped that fans would shower her character with love, as it is a unique one.
Murder Mubarak revolves around the mysterious murder case in India’s capital city’s elite club, the Royal Delhi Club. With the needle of suspicion pointing at every member, it is going to be a thrilling ride to unveil the real killer. Maddock’s film is slated to release on March 15.
