Murari, the blockbuster film which stars Mahesh Babu in the titular role, is gearing up for a re-release on August 9, 2024. The movie has now set a new record with its pre-sales.
Mahesh Babu, the Telugu superstar is celebrating his 49th birthday on August 9, 2024. The makers of the popular actor’s 2001-released blockbuster Murari are all set to celebrate the special occasion by re-releasing the much-loved film in remastered 4K format. The Krishna Vamsi directorial is slated to hit the theatres across the globe yet again on Mahesh Babu’s birthday, following the recent re-release trend. As per the reports, Murari 4K has now set a new record with its pre-sales.
The 2001-released Mahesh Babu starrer has set a record with its pre-sales, by emerging as the highest-grossing re-release film already. If the reports are to be believed, Murari 4K crossed the Rs. 1 crore mark just with its pre-sales in Hyderabad city, in less than 20 hours. In that case, it is now safe to assume that the worldwide advance booking sales of the film have crossed the Rs. 2 crore mark, already. More updates on the same are expected to be out very soon.

If you wish to revisit Mahesh Babu’s blockbuster film on OTT, the Krishna Vamsi directorial is currently available for streaming on Sun NXT and OTTplay Premium. The supernatural family drama revolves around the titular character Murari, a happy-go-lucky guy who is pampered by his entire family, especially his elder sister-in-law Gopi, whom he considers a motherly figure. As he falls in love with Gopi’s cousin Vasundhara, his life is threatened by a centuries-old curse on the family. Eventually, he is saved by the sacrifice of his aged grandmother, Sabari.

Mahesh Babu plays Murai in the film, which stars Sonali Bendre, Sukumari, and Lakshmi, in the roles of his lady love Vasundhara, grandmother Sabari, and elder sister-in-law Gopi, respectively. Kaikala Satyanarayana, Prakash Raj, Naga Babu, Gollapudi Maruthi Rao, Annapurna, Sudha, and others appear in the supporting roles. Mani Sharma composed the songs and original score for Murari, which is produced by Ram Prasad Arts.
