Abhay Verma, who rose to fame with the horror-comedy film Munjya, has finally opened up about his next collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan in the action drama King

Actor Abhay Verma, who has previously featured in Netflix`s Little Things, Prime Video’s The Family Man Season 2, made his film debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali`s Mann Bairagi. However, he shot to fame this year with the critically acclaimed film Munjya, which is currently the most popular horror comedies of the year. Following the success of Munjya, Abhay has been cast in Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming action-thriller King. The 26-year-old actor recently expressed his excitement and anticipation about working with SRK on this project.
In a conversation with Popdiaries, when Abhay Verma was asked how he achieved the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer, he was quite excited. With a big smile on his face, he jokingly said that the time has not come yet to talk about the film in detail yet. However, he expressed his excitement, and said that he idolises Shah Rukh Khan not only as an actor, but as a person as well, hence he's quite nervous working with him for the first time.
“Honestly, I have never been so nervous in life. I wish I could tell the world that this is happening, Yeh main kar raha hoon (I’m doing this film). I am so sorry, but abhi zyada kuch batane ke liye nahi hai (no more details I can share right now)”, the actor further added.

The highly anticipated action-thriller King will feature Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter Suhana Khan for the first time ever. It also stars Abhishek Bachchan in a pivotal role. The action film will showcase SRK in a gritty, rugged avatar, exploring a mentor-student dynamic with Suhana, as they face off against Bachchan’s villainous character.
According to reports, the script of King has been completed, setting the stage for the upcoming filming phase. The action-thriller is expected to commence shooting in November 2024. With high expectations across the nation, King is slated to have theatrical release in 2025.
