Munawar Faruqui reacts to Sunil Pal's post on ‘vulgar comedians’, says I respect comedy a lot

Sunil Pal asked the viewers to 'save comedy' after Munawar Faruqui won the Lock Upp trophy.

Munawar Faruqui has responded to co-comedian Sunil Pal’s post on ‘vulgar comedians.’ The post, obviously, was hinted towards Munawar after his Lock Upp win. Sunil shared his video from the Grand Premiere day of Kangana Ranaut’s show. It was his way of stating that he is not happy with the decision.

During his Instagram live session, Munawar Faruqui raised the topic. He sent out a message to Sunil Pal. Munawar said that as a comedian, he respects comedy a lot.

He requested Sunil Pal to not say that comedy is in danger because of Munawar. While Munawar did say that Sunil had a right to his opinion, he also thought that all comedians can save comedy together.

For the uninitiated, after Munawar’s Lock Upp win, Sunil Pal shared a Facebook post in which he requested people not to promote vulgar comedians and save comedy by doing so. He shared the video from the Grand Premiere episode.

Munawar also spoke about his heated interaction with Sunil at the grand premiere. Countering Sunil’s ‘aukaad nahi hai’ statement, Munawar said that he will win over the comedian. He also cleared that he was not disrespecting Sunil.

Munawar Faruqui and Sunil Pal were pitted against each other at Lock Upp grand premiere with Kangana Ranaut. Recalling the incident, Munawar said that Sunil was extremely upset with him and he had no clue why.

“Main bola, ‘Sunil bhai, maine tumhara kya bigada hai yar,” Munawar said during his live chat. At the stage, Munawar and Sunil did confirm that they knew each other before the show and sure enough, their views on comedy did not match.
