After having established himself as a stand-up comedian, Munawar Faruqui has now unveiled another talent of his, that of being a singer and rapper. He is currently making headlines for his album ‘Madari’. With the kind of response that he has garnered for the album, it now seems he has definitely earned a space for himself in the Indian music scene and rightfully so. The latest update on the rapper cum singer Munawar Faruqui is that he is now gearing up for his first ever performance as a singer at an upcoming event in Mumbai.

The said event, which is all set to take place today in Mumbai, will see him crooning songs of ‘Madari’ for audiences and fellow creators. Munawar Faruqui chose this day as it marks the occasion of ‘World Music Day’ world across. Speaking about his performance, Munawar Faruqui said in a media statement, “There is always a first time to everything and it’s going to be my first performance as a singer which happily coincides with the occasion of World Music Day. The energy and the zest behind every performance of mine will always be the same and this is a very special moment for me which I want to cherish forever. I’m looking forward to performing some tracks from my album ‘Madari’ and I hope the audience enjoys it.”

Speaking of his album ‘Madari’, the songs have been penned by Munawar himself. The main album has a total of 8 songs that have been winning the internet. When talking about the album to IANS, he said, “We all have heard the word ‘Madari’ from our childhood days. He comes and performs for people of all ages. The same is the case with our album. There are songs for all age groups. We have been working really hard on it for the past six months.”
