Hi Nanna, directed by Shouryuv, releases on December 7 in five languages
Hi Nanna, after an extensive round of promotions, is all set for release on December 7 in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. Nani, Mrunal Thakur and Baby Kiara Khanna play pivotal roles in the film directed by debutant Shouryuv. The film’s pre-release event was held in Vizag amidst the presence of the core team and thousands of fans on Wednesday.
Mrunal Thakur, discussing Hi Nanna, said “I have a toothache and lost my voice. I was here last time for Sita Ramam. The love that you’d given for Sita and now for Yashna is incredible. I will forever be grateful to you all for accepting me as a Telugu ammayi. This wouldn’t have been possible without Ashwini Dutt (garu). I am thankful to Mohan and Vijender Reddy for Hi Nanna. It was incredible working on the film.”

The actress shared that the film helped her find a special friend in the form of child artiste Kiara Khanna. “I can’t wait for the film to release and for you all to witness her magical performance.” When Shouryuv confirmed that she was acting with Nani, Mrunal had a ‘Jersey’ moment (Nani starred in Telugu, while Mrunal featured in its remake). “We were destined to be together for Hi Nanna,” she said.
“If you find my portrayal of Yashna to be nuanced, it’s all because of Nani and Shouryuv,” Mrunal said, while calling Priyadarshi and Viraj wonderful co-stars. “I had incredible fun in Ooty, Goa and Hyderabad. It’s the second time I’m teaming up with Angad Bedi and Shilpa Tulaskar. It was a reunion for me. I manifested Hesham’s presence in Hi Nanna after listening to Darshana (in Hridayam).”
You’ll love Hi Nanna and remember your dad as you watch it, she exuded confidence. “I did remember my father as I was performing. Nani and Kiara share a wonderful bond. I’ll change my name if you don’t fall in love with them and Hi Nanna.”
