Mouchaak trailer: Where troubles follow Mou Boudi

Mouchaak trailer is a stark reminder of Malamaal Weekly.

Hoichoi recently released the trailer of its upcoming web series Mouchaak’s which may make you think that being beautiful is a crime. Furthermore, in the series, the female lead Mou Bondi is embroiled in a crime she accidentally committed.

Going by the trailer, Mouchaak is the story of a bored and lonely housewife Mou Boudi, who invites trouble for herself by calling all her acquaintances home. Accidentally, she kills one of her sexual partners and gets the other partners involved in hiding the murder.

The web series also has the backstory of a lottery ticket that Mou is desperately seeking. Thus, the story gives major deja vu vibes, especially to those who’ve watched the Hindi film Malamal Weekly, where one character gets accidentally killed leaving a lot of wealth behind.

Before the trailer released, many fans had found a resemblance between the upcoming show and Bhojpuri actor Mona Lisa aka Antara Biswas’ Bengali show Dupur Thakurpo 2. The biggest similarity they saw was in their surname. While Monami Ghosh plays Mou Boudi in Mouchaak, Antara Biswas was seen as Jhuma Boudi in Dupur Thakurpo 2.

The two, who fans believe are related, also have a similar concept - that they are women who lure men with their sexuality. The show, which is a HoiChoi original series, is set to premiere on June 18.

Monami, who is a Television actress, was last seen judging the show Dance Dance Junior season 2 on Star Jalsha. On the movies front, she was last seen in Kalo Chita which released in 2014.
