Moon Knight: Oscar Isaac’s avatar from the MCU’s darkest saga revealed

There is very exciting news for all Marvel fans. Moon Knight touted to be Marvel’s darkest, wildest sage, is set to start streaming from March 30 on Disney+. Starring Oscar Isaac as Marc Spector / Moon Knight, the titular character of the show made it to the cover of Empire Magazine's new issue.

The cover featured Moon Knight in all his glory, wielding his Crescent Darts, a set of moon-shaped blades that function similarly to shuriken. The costume looked very pleasing to the eye and was intriguing.

The post shared by Marvel’s Instagram handle, featuring the cover said, “@EmpireMagazine’s all new cover with #MoonKnight. See Marvel Studios’ @TheMoonKnight, an Original series streaming March 30, only on @DisneyPlus.”

Empire Magazine’s official Twitter handle also shared, “Embrace the chaos. #MoonKnight is here to shake up the MCU, and he’s on the cover of Empire's new issue – with brand new Oscar Isaac and Kevin Feige interviews, world-exclusive new images, and much more. On sale Thurs 17 Feb”.

Apart from Isaac, Moon Knight also features Ethan Hawke, playing the villainous scientist Arthur Harrow. The show is intended to be the sixth television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) produced by Marvel Studios. The six episode series, created by Jeremy Slater, has Mohamed Diab leading the directing team.

Isaac plays a mercenary with dissociative identity disorder (DID) who becomes the conduit for the Egyptian moon god Khonshu. The character relies on athletic ability, intelligence, advanced technology, and expert combat skills but after becoming Moon Knight there have been multiple occasions when the character has died only to then be resurrected by Khonshu.

While Isaac was last seen in Denis Villeneuv’s Dune Hawke was last seen in the supernatural horror film, The Black Phone.
