Shreya Navile's Madhumathi is an NRI. She comes to India to take part in a cousin's wedding. However, she draws a lot of criticism and eye-rolls from her highly conservative family members and guests. Her outspokenness and extrovert nature make others uncomfortable. However, it doesn't seem to bother her and she seems to show no hurry to escape to America, where she can continue to live her life without any restrictions.
