Indian audience and Monkey Man
For the unversed, the film Monkey Man has got a global release recently. But sadly, the film is facing a ban in India. When we asked Sikandar about the release date that the makers had planned for India (as per the latest reports, the release date in India is April 26, although there has been no confirmation about it), Sikandar said, he personally wasn’t aware of the date.

When we asked him whether the Indian release will have any portions edited to suit the taste and sentiments, he said he had no idea about it. But, in the same breath, he guaranteed one thing that the film will be a theatrical release in India and that it will be a beast of a film which everyone will surely enjoy!

Anupam Kher’s relentless support
When asked about whether his father Anupam Kher was supportive in his decision to do Monkey Man, Sikandar said that, “When he got to know that the film is going to festivals, he was the first person to tell me to go and be a part of all this as its really important. He has been a great support for me throughout. None of this would have been possible without the support of my father”.
