Zayn Marie Khan made her acting debut with Mrs. Serial Killer.
Being the daughter of director Mansoor Khan, the niece of actor Aamir Khan, and the cousin of actor Imran Khan is an honour for Zayn Marie Khan. She is pleased that, despite having a well-known last name, it hasn't really affected her career. After a string of failures, the actor finally made a splash with Monica, O My Darling in which she plays Rajkummar Rao's sister. Because she gained her sudden fame via her work and not through renowned relatives, it is all the more noteworthy.
Zayn Marie explained to Mid Day that, as she was growing up, she was aware that people would often refer to her as someone's relative. Because the actor has her own personality, she didn't like that. Zayn made her acting debut in 2020 with Mrs. Serial Killer.
The actor has been on a discovery trip for the last three years in the Hindi film industry. She claims that having the freedom to fail came from not having to rely on her last name. Zayn Marie has had some terrible auditions because she kept her family history a secret, but throughout the past ten years of auditioning, she has improved as an actor.
Although audiences have appreciated her acting abilities, Aamir has taken note of her independence. He is happy that she got a job on her own and didn't need anyone else to help her. He gave her lessons in the craft, sometimes through his performances and other times through chats, according to her.
She remembers how Aamir's remark inspired her to choose Mrs. Serial Killer. She didn't know the character well, so she called Aamir, who had already heard the script. He remarked that it was a cool part and that she should do it.
Meanwhile, both of her films, Mrs. Serial Killer and Monica, O My Darling are currently streaming on Netflix.
